A couple of weekends ago the Freefly VR team found ourselves at one of our favourite festivals of the summer. Farr Festival has the vibe of an intimate party, surrounded by picturesque woodland and cornfields as far as the eye can see. Combine this with an impressive roster of DJs including the likes of Helena Hauff, John Talabot and Gilles Peterson, and you’ve got a sensory paradise that defies literal description.
Luckily for us, we don’t need to describe it in words because we brought along our nifty little 360 camera. We set it up at the Adventures In Success stage to document Saturday’s proceedings, hosted by the absolutely wonderful Ran$om Note.
At Freefly VR we are passionate about all things virtual reality. And, not being content with just having one of the best smartphone powered headsets on the market, we thought we’d have a crack at some content production too. If there was ever a medium made for virtual reality, it would have to be live music.
We made the following video to show you just a glimpse of what it was like to be at Farr Festival, from the comfort of your own home.
So, without further ado, whack on your headphones and crank the video quality up to 1080 to watch the video here. Scroll around to see it all. The soundtrack is Paranoid London’s Light Tunnel.
Expect more adventures in content production in the near future!
Want to feel like you’re really there? Use the split screen mode on the updated Android YouTube app and combine with the Freefly VR headset.
